Get to Know this recipe

You have most definitely encountered Yum Yum sauce if you have visited a Japanese steak house and ordered hibachi. While this might lead you to believe that it is a product of Japan, you might be surprised to learn that Yum Yum sauce was created in North American by teppanyaki restaurant owner Terry Ho in the 1970s. The noodles, rice, vegetables, and meat are all waiting for the Yum Yum sauce to be delivered, and if you have tried it, you are too. All of which becomes that much better by this sweet and tangy orange sauce. Ho started manufacturing the sauce, and its popularity took off because, like its name, it's Yum!

Yum Yum sauce is the ultimate condiment. You can use it to dip vegetables, french fries, tacos, salads, rice bowls, grilled tofu, and so much more. Vegetarian, gluten-free, versatile, and easy to make are all great ways to describe this sauce. We paired our Yum Yum sauces with coleslaw and shrimp tacos. It was a good call and added just the right amounts of sweet and tang to our taco Tuesday.
